At Clay Center Family Dental Care, we are happy to help you as a patient by accepting your dental benefits and helping you answer any questions you may have regarding the coverage you have chosen for yourself and your family. We are Preferred Providers (“in-network“) with Delta Dental and Blue Cross Blue Shield. As a courtesy to you, we will file your insurance claim form for you after dental services have been rendered. Please be prepared to pay your portion (as per your specific dental benefits) of your bill on the day you receive our services.

What if my dental insurance doesn't cover a procedure?

Just because your specific dental benefit plan does not cover a procedure does not mean that the procedure is not important for your dental health! The benefit plan is a contract between you, your employer, and the dental insurance company. We recommend and render dental treatment AS NEEDED based on YOUR individual dental needs, not what dental benefits may or may not cover.

What if my dental insurance denies a procedure that I had completed?

You will be expected to pay your account in full regardless of your insurance company’s participation. You are responsible for payment regardless of any insurance company’s determination of usual and customary rates. Our charges are usual and customary for our area. If your insurance company has not paid your account in full within sixty (60) days, the balance will automatically become your responsibility. If a problem occurs with your claim you will be asked to contact your insurance company to help resolve the problem.
